Another Crazy Dancehall CD For A Party In Florida

I really need to get to one of these parties. I mean if the cds are this hot, then I can only imagine how crazy the party could get. I haven't heard too many remix/dubplate cds in the past few years that can compete with this and the last one I posted. I'm very happy to hear this type of mix. I mean, how can you go wrong with Black Chiney, Crown Prince and Renaissance?

Cocaine In Red Bull Cola Is "Harmless" According To Officials

The amount of cocaine found in Red Bull Cola is completely harmless, despite being pulled from store shelves in several states after experts found traces of the narcotic in the drink, the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) said on Tuesday.

“It is absolutely not dangerous for the consumer,” BfR spokesman Thomas Schlicht told The Local. “There is no health threat that could come from the amount of cocaine found in this product.”

Last week, a lab in North Rhine-Westphalia found trace amounts of cocaine in Red Bull Cola. As a result, the state ordered grocery stores to pull the product from the shelves. Soon after, the states of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Bavaria, Lower Saxony and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania followed suit.

According to daily newspaper Berliner Morgenpost, the lab found 0.4 microgrammes of cocaine per litre of Red Bull, and there are just 1,000,000 microgrammes in a gramme.

The trace amounts of cocaine are from the “de-cocainised” coca leaves that are used worldwide in many products as food flavouring.

But a drink cannot be classified as food and needs a special license because it contains a narcotic, daily Frankfurter Neue Presse reported.

In a press release, Red Bull maintained its product follows the strictest food guidelines in the United States and the European Union. But once the states have banned it from grocery shelves, Red Bull has few options in getting the cola back in stores.

“It is still up to the individual state as to whether to ban the product or not,” Schlicht told The Local. “Red Bull either has to change the recipe or accept that the beverage cannot be sold in those states.”

The state of Bavaria, where Red Bull Germany has its headquarters in Munich, has already said that it will conduct its own test on the product before reconsidering the ban, Berliner Morgenpost reported.

Memories: The Wake Up Show

In the late 90's on Friday nights from 2 am - 5 am Power 99 used to replay the Wake Up Show, from Cali. In a time when the internet was still at 56k max speeds for most, I was being exposed to the craziest, dopest things I could imagine every weekend. On Saturday afternoon you could catch me on Napster trying to find some of the tunes I had heard the night before. Countless acts used to come thru, be interviewed, and freestyle. First, is the album Guns Don't Kill People, Lazers do. Comprised of super producers Diplo and Switch and a bunch of the biggest names in dancehall. Major Lazer is making the kind of music that I want to hear.

Growing up on Selecta Bam Bam, Federation Sound and Black Chiney mixes I have grown to love the dancehall remix. I used to go to the ends of the earth to find the newest mixes, in an age before zshare.

Let's Give It Another Try...

I registered this domain name in Oct. of 07 with the best of intentions. I come across so much different, dope content on the net. I wanted a forum to share all of this, as well as my experiences, thoughts and most importantly - music.

I made one post and that was it. I never really learned how to use html or anything. I had no clue where to begin. My blog was butt. It just so happened that my (not so)future wife is a blog whiz. She has inspired me to get back in the game and share myself with the world.

I have big ideas, and lots of insight so we'll see how this goes.
