Mad Decent Summer

There's no major label releases I'm eagerly anticipating. Once in a while there's some interesting material dropping. (Shout to Wale, Kid Cudi, Asher Roth, Kanye)

Well, thanks to Mad Decent, I can say that there exists two releases that I'm as hyped for as these kids getting rained on in line for Yeezy's right now.

1. Hold The Line [ft. Mr. Lexx and Santigold] 2. When You Hear The Bassline [ft. Ms. Thing] 3. Can't Stop Now [ft. Mr. Vegas and Jovi Rockwell] 4. Lazer Theme [ft. Future Trouble] 5. Anything Goes [ft. Turbulence] 6. Cash Flow [ft. Jah Dan] 7. Mary Jane [ft. Mr. Evil and Mapei] 8. Bruk Out [ft. T.O.K. and Ms. Thing] 9. What U Like [ft. Amanda Blank and Einstein] 10. Keep It Goin' Louder [ft. Nina Sky and Ricky Blaze] 11. Pon De Floor [ft. Vybz Kartel] 12. Baby [ft. Prince Zimboo] 13. Jump Up [ft. Leftside and Supahype] (co-produced by Crookers)

First, is the album Guns Don't Kill People, Lazers do. Comprised of super producers Diplo and Switch and a bunch of the biggest names in dancehall. Major Lazer is making the kind of music that I want to hear.
Growing up on Selecta Bam Bam, Federation Sound and Black Chiney mixes I have grown to love the dancehall remix. I used to go to the ends of the earth to find the newest mixes, in an age before zshare.
Nowadays, there are very few killing the remix. Taking super hype, danceable club beats and infusing the Jamaican sound is what I want to hear. I've already pre-oreder my copy of the cd which officially drops June 18, here: *Use code Spring09 and get 10% off

Here's a track that leaked and should give you a nice feel of what you're in for

Next, is the new mix produced entirely by DJ Sega titled New Jack Philly. If you've ever heard any remix from Sega, you know he's the truth. At a very young age, he's taken the world by storm. Basically you could sum it up by saying he's the future. Words can't describe the way this guy takes any track and transforms it into the craziest floor mover.
Take the opportunity to preorder the mix here. *Notice Mad Decent tees are on sale for $15, great deal.
